What Are Home Fellowships?

Home Fellowships are the small groups ministry of FBC Durham.

When our Home Fellowships gather, our goals are driven by their DNA:

  • Discipleship.
Developing faithful disciples and leaders through Biblical application and prayer.
  • Nurture.
Pursuing fellowship with one another and caring for each other's needs.
  • Accountability.
Making progress together in the two journeys of the Christian life, the internal journey of sanctification and the external journey of gospel advance.

Instructions:
Online registration for our Home Fellowships has ended, but we would love to have join a group!  If you are interested in joining a Home Fellowship, please contact the church office and we will get you connect to a group.

Carroll Home Fellowship - Books of Jonah & Ruth

Books of Jonah & Ruth
Hosts: D'Arcey & Eadie Carroll
Leader: Andy Winn

One of the most recognized Bible stories for children is often titled something like “Jonah and the whale.”  And yet, most often, the book of Jonah is neglected from the perspective of being the prophetic example of the resurrection of Christ.  We will be taking a deeper look at the contents of the book of Jonah and its importance in the story of redemption. We will also be studying the book of Ruth later this year. It is always good to remind ourselves that we live by faith and not by works.

Adams Home Fellowship - 1-3 John

1-3 John
Hosts: Rick & Jane Adams
Leaders: Phil Owen & Dave Martin

If you desire to be encouraged in your faith, learn biblical truth from 1 John, and laugh along the way…this HF is for you. Sure, we may not be known as the youngest HF (though we think we are seasoned), nor will we be known for being the kid-friendliest (though grandkids tend to flock to us), but we are arguably the wittiest, funniest, and most entertaining HF in the region. Our group will be studying the three letters of John which will instruct and motivate us to love more, trust more, and do more for the glory of Christ. Consider joining us as we will be eager to pray together, laugh together, eat together, and study God’s word together. You are always welcome (but space is limited).
